A subscriber to Chronicle of the Old West from Sweden, Eric Iggstrom has a Swedish Western Town called “High Chaparral.” Here are a couple of pictures of the town that he sent us.

At Western Legends in Kanab, Utah, Dakota interviewed some of the entertainers before a live audience. Here he is talking to singers Curly Musgrave and Belinda Gail and cowboy poet Sam Jackson.

We just got back from attending “Western Legends Roundup” at Kanab, Utah. We have a lot of great pictures and stories to share.

For what was at the time a minor skirmish with the Indians, the Wagon Box Fight was pivotal, because for the first time the Indians saw the effects of repeating rifles. During this week’s Chronicle of the Old West Weekly edition radio show Dakota talks to Jim MacGregor about the fight. And, Jim has some interesting conclusions as to its effect on Red Cloud.

This week’s Chronicle of the Old West Weekly Edition is a special one. It contains the interview that Dakota did with movie actor and artist Buck Taylor and singer and movie actor R. W. Hampton. They had a lot of fun talking. In addition, Dakota discovered a couple of things about them that you probably didn’t know.
Here is cowboy singer R.W. Hampton and movie star Buck Taylor anxiously awaiting their turn on the hot seat.

We got home safely. It was a grand trip. God gave us a lot of rain while we were gone…and we sure needed it.
Stopped by KNMX 540AM in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Matt Martinez said he'll begin airing our daily radio show this fall. Las Vegas has a lot of Old West history. And, the buildings and homes reflect its heritage.
