Shannon Thomas Casebeer is a regular listener to the daily Chronicle of the Old West radio show as aired on KUNQ in Houston, Missouri.
Shannon was born and raised in Hangtown, now known as Placerville, California. Placerville is located in the area where gold was discovered in 1848.

Although his ancestors were probably mining the gold fields back then, Shannon gave up on the “diggins’” and now lives in Willow Springs, Missouri.

Those of you who are subscribers to Chronicle of the Old West have seen the ad for Mark Nelson’s Old West signs. Here’s Mark, Dakota and Jake. Jake was distracted by a good-looking Collie that was walking by.

Mark got the prize for the best-looking booth at Western Legends Roundup.

Here are a couple of hard cases we met at Western Legends Roundup in Kanab, Utah. They are Lash and Penny Latigo.

I can only imagine how hard life would be for them in the Old West while wearing those boots and matching teal shirts!

While at Kanab, Utah’s Western Legend’s Roundup, Dakota had a conversation with actor Clint Walker. There was standing room only for the interview.

Incidentally, that interview will be aired on the September 18-24 Chronicle of the Old West Weekly Edition radio show.
